Are you sure you ain't black?? NO I a RICAN!

NO!...LOL..I have had some experiences with people and my new found love. My hair. I've been asked by many if they can touch my hair. The problem is the argument after the fact. I have curly hair. Afroyee in some places but curly nonetheless. My curls or not tight but are somewat coily in some parts and looser in other. I get african american women who like my hair and ask to touch. When they do they ask why its so soft. I say well I'm not doing anything other than Homemade shea butter and taking care of it. Then they ask where I'm from since they hear an accent. I say Puerto Rican. They look at me weirdly and say oh so you half black half rican. I say well I was born in puerto rico, both parents are puerto rican an my whole family is puerto rican but I don't deny there is some african decendant in my blood. They look at me and say "girl please you know u black u just doing something else to your hair" I say no and then the argument begins. I just walk away. But I ask what is it with being a Rican of color. Why does it upset African American people when a Rican of color with an afroyee texture hair says "I am hispanic"????  It is such a debate. It is rediculous to me. I don't deny there is African in me but My native island is Puerto Rico and my second language is english. The last time I checked I looked like both my parents and they are beyong a shadow of a doubt more hisapnic than you can be. So for those woman out there that are going through this "NO YOU AIN'T HISPANIC YOU BLACK" you are not alone. STAND FIRM! and walk away. It difeats the purpose to explain the history of your blood line and how it affects your hair!

Will be posting some new pics soon keep in touch. GOZATE ESTA EN LO QUE VIENE LA OTRA!
