Name or no Nombre

Hola mi gente,
I came across a comment on facebook concerning wierd ways to name and spell dat name of your child...Now as a parent we have da right to name our children anything and everything.  Theres folks that even add Esq. at the end of the names...Esq. mean Esquire for lawyers...lol the expectations we put on our children can be overbearing. We want success to show even in the way we spell thier names. But remember that your child will grow up and have to learn how to spell and write their names and not everybody will pronounce their names properly and they can be set up for ridicule.  It crazy cause if you come from another country  and your name is hard to pronounce or spell folks will have more sympathy and care on how to spell and pronounce your child's name but when u r from home (AMERICA) sympathy is less bestowed.   I have 4 kids and each have their own nice name. They are not common everyday name and they match them perfectly...Even down to their spelling. Deja Alexys, Adrian Bryon, Rebecca Alyson and Jermias Dominic.  Thats all but they are not typical names for a Puerto Rican. Because in my country names like  Bethsida, or Josealberto, or Eriberto (a) or lizbeth or Juancarlo are typical and many know without a shadow of a doubt that they  are hispanic. The funny thing is that I was given the opportunity to name all my children on my own well not the last one but the first three I named without their father pitching in.  Not that he wasn't allowed but he gave me that honor to name them on my own.  My youngest was more of a unity naming...lol. Now please don't get me wrong u have the right and decision to name your child what ever your hearts desire but please be careful on how you spell...EXAMPLE.. roache pronounce ro-shay,  des're pronounce des-a-rary , apple, river, ceilidh prounounced kay-lee... a young girl who's name is an ACRONYM FOR HER MOTHER'S FRIENDS NAMES WHEN SHE WAS LOCKED UP!!! The girl's name is C-I-Z-A! Not Ciza like (cEEzah) it is C-I-Z-A...
This is a child's name! "Le - a"...How would you pronounce this as a child's name??? Leah?? NO Lee - A?? NOPE Lay - a?? NO Lei?? Guess Again. Are you resorting to tongue clicks yet?? It's pronounced "Ledasha" oh yes...you read it right. The dash is not silent. (Post from a friend from Facebook)

This is what I mean...U have the right to name your ur child what u wish but think about what they have to endure with for the rest of their lives...It will be their name to deal with so think on how they will feel...GOZATE ESTA EN LO QUE VIENE LA OTRA!!!!
