Introducing.....ME!

HOLA MI GENTE!
I am RicanQueen and am so glad I decided to finally start a blog.  I have alot to say but as time goes on I'll be able to say it. What made make this blog, well I got tired of trying to find information about my everyday life as a Puerto Rican women of color.  Yes I am a Puerto Rican of color! Many folks do not believe that I am and question if there is even people of color in Puerto Rico.Wha I hate the most is the Puerto Ricans who go "Oh my goodness I had no idea" not so much that I speak spanish and look african-american but just the mere fact that I am puerto rican.  Its like they haven't been to the Island and seen us all over or they haven't looked into their history and seen us there from the get go! its annoying, and so thus Pielmorena34 blog has started!  I am not here to bash or down talk or degrade anyone that is not of darker color I embrace all of my hispanics whether you are hispanic or not! I am here to express my concerns and ideas and to help anyone out there willing to hear me and needing the help. I don't mind the input and corrections if any, about anything being said. All I ask is to please be polite and watch your language. I am a christian (Pentecostal) I believe in THE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT!  I belive JesusChrist has died for me on the cross of calvary and rose again and is coming back again for his church of belivers!
In this Blog I am opening myself up and sharing me and my world of thoughts and am welcoming you to do the same! I find that its so hard to be LATINA and of color. Many people embrace me and but others make me feel like I don't belong. This is coming from both my race and others so I fall in this between the lines and somehow get lost.  I have afrocentric hair but can't use all african american hair products. I have to mix and match with many hair products just to find some kind of balance.I can't wear weave, and extensions last a shorter time than usual so paying the money for it is well defeating the purpose. So I have decided to go completely NATURAL! Meaning, No RELAXERS WHATSOEVER! crazy u may think but I've had it.  My hair is falling out its holding on for dear life and I've had to cut it again.  Not so short this time but 2 years ago I had to cut my hair verry short just to save it. So with help of a few folks I have found over the internet I am venturing and embracing my AFRO-RICAN ROOTS!. My mother is Taino Indian and my father is Puerto rican with african roots so they gave me a mixture of hair that is well I don't quite know right now!so hear I am learnign me all over again! so until my next blog.
